RecySmart Bin arrives at Camping Sangulí 

Since World Environment Day, June 5, Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou has taken a significant step towards sustainability with the implementation of the innovative RecySmart Bin project. 

This project aims to encourage recycling among guests by installing smart recycling bins dedicated to light packaging. 

Rewards for Recycling: An Irresistible Incentive 

With RecySmart Bin, not only efficient recycling is achieved, but also the camping rewards users for the correct recycling of waste. 

Since their implementation, these containers have already collected 25.000 light packaging containers thanks to the active participation of 500 users. This level of engagement is made possible by the attractive recycling reward system that has been put in place. Points accumulated by recycling can be redeemed for a variety of on-site prizes such as: 

• free trampolines, 

• gym hours, 

• souvenirs and more. 

To date, 1.500 rewards have been redeemed, underscoring the effectiveness of the program and the enthusiasm of the participants. 

Collaboration and Environmental Commitment 

The realization of this project would not have been possible without the collaboration between: 

Candam Tech, Cyklos, Corporación CLD and the Sangulí Salou Camping & Resort. 

This strategic alliance has made it possible to create a solution that not only encourages families to recycle, but also encourages it, making it an attractive action, which contributes significantly to environmental sustainability and the loyalty of the camping’s customers. 

Technology and Sustainability: A Winning Combination 

The RecySmart Bin uses advanced technology to identify and sort packaging materials in real-time. Users can start the recycling process by identifying themselves through the RecySmart App and receive recycling points that can be exchanged for rewards. This approach not only improves the accuracy of recycling, but also motivates more people to actively participate in protecting the environment. 

Impact and Future of the Project 

Since its inception, the project has proven to be a resounding success, collecting thousands of containers and delivering hundreds of rewards. But this is just the beginning. From Candam Tech together with our partners we are exploring the possibility of expanding this system to other camping sites and resorts, as well as to different types of public and private establishments. 

The vision is clear: to create a future in which recycling is not only an obligation, but an action that is rewarded, celebrated and builds customer loyalty.
