For this purpose, Madrid will install <strong>11,100 filling sensors<\/strong> together with the powerful <strong>Smart Waste Management platform<\/strong> in the first four months of 2023. The implementation will allow working with <strong>Dynamic Optimised Routes<\/strong>, a comprehensive smart waste management solution from <strong>Sensoneo.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n<p>The joint venture formed by <strong>Valoriza, Acciona, and OHL Ingesan<\/strong> has been awarded Lot 2 of the waste collection service contract for the city of Madrid. As the use of filling sensors was favorably valued in order to optimize collection, the UTE has chosen <strong>Sensoneo sensors supplied in Iberia by Candam.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is the solution offered by Candam?<\/h2>\n\n<p>In addition to robust sensors, the platform is one of the few that has managed to provide a powerful Dynamic Route Optimisation engine for waste management. The big difference with other platforms is that it is the only one that has adapted the most commonly used last-mile navigation systems to waste collection. With this, the navigation is designed specifically for collection vehicles and takes into account blind spots, pedestrian walkways, real-time updates, and more. But it is not always about automation, so the platform is flexible for the expert operator to manually customize routes, such as adding holiday collection points, or adding a one-off stop on demand (e.g. a Hospital).   <\/p>\n\n<p><\/p><p>The implementation of these smart sensors will help the Madrid City Council to make the waste collection service much more efficient in an imminent way, also achieving <strong>objectives<\/strong> such as:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The reduction of emissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Traffic reduction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Noise reduction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p><p>Managers will also achieve benefits that are passed on in the contract and ultimately to the citizen such as:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fuel savings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time reduction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cost savings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p><p>The sensors are validated worldwide with more than 400 projects in 5 continents and 82
