Today, we are pleased to share the final results of this innovative initiative that has transformed the way Sharjah residents recycle. <\/p>\n<h2>Project impact and keys to success<\/h2>\n<p><strong><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3306 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/candam.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/RecySmart-bin-Sharjah-de-candam.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"348\" height=\"425\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the course of the project, a total of <strong>21.670 packaging containers were recycled,<\/strong> with the participation of 166 users. Plastic packaging was the most recycled, followed by carton bricks, cans and finally glass. <\/p>\n<h2>The <strong>reward scheme was a crucial component of<\/strong> the project\u2019s success.<\/h2>\n<p>Prizes on offer included Nespresso machines, gift cards and tickets to sporting events.<\/p>\n<p>This system incentivized users to actively participate in recycling, demonstrating that offering attractive incentives can significantly increase participation.<\/p>\n<p>Diversifying the available rewards played an important role in maintaining participants\u2019 interest and engagement<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW238812729 BCX0\" lang=\"ES-ES\" data-contrast=\"auto\" xml:lang=\"ES-ES\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW238812729 BCX0\">The communication campaign carried out was another essential element for the success of the project. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW238812729 BCX0\" lang=\"ES-ES\" data-contrast=\"auto\" xml:lang=\"ES-ES\">Informing residents about the project and its benefits through various channels ensured high participation and understanding of the RecySmart system. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW238812729 BCX0\" lang=\"ES-ES\" data-contrast=\"auto\" xml:lang=\"ES-ES\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW238812729 BCX0\">This effective communication strategy helped to consolidate environmental awareness in the community.<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW238812729 BCX0\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"EOP SCXW238812729 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> Finally, an increase in the quality of the material collected has been evidenced, demonstrating the effectiveness of the <strong>RecySmart technology and the application of reward schemes (RAYT).<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"EOP SCXW238812729 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">You can see more details in the following video: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Sharjah Project: Improved quality of collected material\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/v_yv6ylFD6w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>What is RecySmart\u2019s next step in the Emirates?<\/h2>\n<p>For Candam, this was just the starting point.
